Devoteam has released its 2023 Sustainability Report, highlighting its commitment to responsible technology for a better future. The Tech for People vision guides its efforts to create a sustainable future by promoting ethical, environmental, and social responsibility across business operations.
Devoteam’s sustainability strategy, VEEP, encompasses four main dimensions: Value, Environment, Ethics, and People. It serves 3 main ambitions: develop tech for better change, contribute to reducing the global GHG emissions to mitigate climate change and engage all stakeholders in our sustainable digital journey.
Devoteam is proud to be rewarded with a Platinum rating from EcoVadis for our Sustainability Performance, placing us in the top 1% of companies within the EcoVadis network. We were pleased to earn EcoVadis’ highest rating in recognition of the evidence-based results achieved through our sustainable business practices.
Value
To better support our clients in their sustainable digital transformation, we reshaped our sustainability offers and certified 800 people on sustainable IT to ensure they apply sustainability patterns in all our deliveries. We target to certify 80% of Devoteamers by 2025. We continued to help companies navigate in the fast-evolving tech ecosystem, with our 2nd edition of Devoteam TechRadar screening 150 emerging tech. We also launched a specific edition of the TechRadar for the nonprofit sector, on top of supporting 100+ nonprofits with skills and financial donations.
Environment
In line with our climate strategy and commitment to achieving net-zero, we have reduced by 12% our carbon emissions between 2022 and 2023.
We announced our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Underpinned by science, we have submitted absolute reduction targets for our scopes 1 and 2 emissions and intensity targets for our value chain, aligned with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C objective. In a milestone this year, we divided by two our business travel emissions.
Ethics
To better engage all our stakeholders in our sustainability journey, we updated and reinforced several processes and charters: aligning our Code of Conduct with the four dimensions of VEEP sustainability strategy (Value, Environment, Ethics, People), strengthening communication of our principals and the Whistleblowing System in place. We also invited more suppliers to comply with our sustainable procurement strategy. New technologies like Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) bear risks and offer high promising value. Devoteam has created a GenAI Charter to ensure that the usage and developments for our customers brings full value, while remaining in line with our vision, mission and values and respects human rights, safety and data protection.
People
We support our 10 000 employees from 125 nationalities to learn at the pace of change, and bring impact to our clients on emerging techs with specific focuses on GenAI and sustainable IT.
With Devomood, our engagement and satisfaction survey, everyone contribute to improve the way we work and grow at Devoteam, and nurture our promise to build “ infinite possibilities to become a digital leader”. Increasing the number of employees benefiting from Udemy licenses and leveraging certifications on our strategic topics is part of this strategy.
As an organization, we follow the rules of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability.
Devoteam’s latest sustainability report demonstrates a strong commitment to responsible technology and sustainability. We believe that technology can play a key role in building a better future for all and are proud of the momentum we have built together and would like to thank all our stakeholders for their contribution to our VEEP strategy. We remain committed to our vision “Tech for People unlocks the future” and look forward to collaborating with our stakeholders to create a more sustainable world. We hope that our report inspires others to join us on this journey toward a more sustainable future.
